"Soup-er Bowl" 2013:  CNS'ers vs. The Ravenous Ones (aka The Ravens)

"Game time" was set for 7 PM.  The team began to assemble around 5 PM.  Coach Susi arrived with helmets, shoulder pads, and assorted unguents.  The water girl came with the ice.  Running backs Yonit and Charlene led warm up exercises with assorted vegetables and onions.  Corner back, Shari, and safety, Steve, practiced their team moves. Free agent, Jenna, arrived with assistants and some of the team's specialty equipment.  Quarterback, Esther, defensive ends Dan and Vida, positioned themselves on the line of scrimmage.  The Ravens won the toss and elected to receive.  The whistle blew and the CNSers scored on the first play of the game!  Groans were heard from the other team.  CNSers continued to score with plays centered around Posole and Fiesta rice and beans.  The Ravens were glum as the clocked ticked away.  Towards the end of the game The Ravens made a strong showing when lining up for the last kick-off.  They were real gentlemen, moving through the line, greeting the opposing players and freely complementing the CNSers on their skillful moves.  After the team meeting and wrap-up, the CNSers unanimously agreed that The Ravens were worthy "opponents" and that a rematch would be held in March.  Would you like to "try out" for the team?  Or are you waiting for the "draft?"  Next game:  Sunday, March 3, 5 PM.
